Opportunity:
RN - Electrophysiology
Job Details:
* 13-week contract position
* Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* No on-call or weekend requirements
* No floating between units required
* Minimum 2 years of experience working as an RN in Electrophysiology (EP) required
* EPIC charting experience required
* Any color scrubs permitted
* Required certification: BLS
* RN License required
* Required cardiac cath lab procedure skills: Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal and Watchman procedure
* Required electrophysiology procedure skills: Arrhythmia Induction, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, Cardioversion, Conduction Studies, Insertion/Programming of AICDs, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure, and Pacemaker Insertion
* Required medication knowledge: Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, and Thrombolytics
* Required professional skills: Cardioversion, Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias, and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
* Patient education responsibilities, especially around lifestyle and medication adherence
* Participation in quality improvement initiatives expected
* Preferred: Familiarity with GLP-1 therapies in AFib management and experience in risk factor modification or device clinics
* Background in cardiac step-down, cardiac telemetry, or cardiac ICU is a plus
Facility:
This Heart & Vascular Clinic is a specialized facility focused on delivering comprehensive cardiac care, including electrophysiology and interventional cardiology services. The facility offers an interdisciplinary support environment that includes interpretation services, phlebotomy, and unit secretarial support. The clinical team manages a broad scope of cardiac conditions, ranging from general cardiology and heart failure to complex electrophysiology and interventional procedures.
