Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

Opportunity:

MS/Tele RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* On-call is rare; if required, on-call is for the first 4 hours only
* Patient ratio of 1:5 on days, nights, and weekends
* Float within scope to meet facility needs if needed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Preferred certification: NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Previous charge experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Block scheduling available pending manager approval based on unit needs
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care and management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, PICC line management, peripheral line care, starting and maintaining IVs, wound care/wound vac, pacemaker management, phlebotomy, feeding tube care, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 304 staffed beds and provides comprehensive inpatient medical and telemetry services. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and supports a full range of interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. The facility is located in an area subject to hurricane season from June through November, during which all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
