Job Details:

* Work on a 26-bed adult orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend schedule required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Care for patients with diagnoses including Med/Surg, Telemetry, cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE
* Perform and assist with special procedures including bedside lumbar puncture, post-Cath care (radial/femoral), post-surgical care, post renal biopsy, CT Angio, and Heparin drips
* Operate special equipment including telemetry monitors, bedside pulse oximetry, dinamaps, and glucometers
* Provide integrated pain management, physical therapy support, and mobility support for post-operative patients
* Float to other units or campuses as needed based on census, limited to areas where qualifications and documented competencies exist
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
* Orthopedic experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Active SC or multistate license required; pending licenses not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Dysrhythmia certified
* Self-scheduling unit
