Opportunity:

MS/Tele Float RN

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Weekend coverage required
* Float position covering various units based on institutional needs including ER boarded patients, telemetry, and med-surg
* Nurse to patient ratio varies 1:4-6 depending on unit acuity
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* May include charge nurse responsibilities on smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general coordination
* Charge nurse experience is required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of experience in the US required; Canadian experience alone will not qualify
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: Cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, and telemetry
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility

This short-term acute care facility features 325 staffed beds and provides comprehensive inpatient services across a range of specialties. The facility supports a diverse patient population and utilizes Epic for charting. Interdisciplinary teams including rapid response, pharmacy, physical therapy, and radiology are available to support clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care.
