Opportunity:

RN - Perinatal Float Pool

Job Details:

* Perinatal Float Pool position requiring cross-training and rotation among all three perinatal units: JMC L&D, JMC Postpartum, and Hillcrest LDRP
* Floating each shift is mandatory, including floating between campuses and to Postpartum
* Must be available to work one additional overtime shift per two weeks (7 shifts total) based on unit needs
* Manager will provide a minimum of 2 weeks notice for schedule changes
* No requested time off in the first 3 weeks
* Weekend coverage required: 4 shifts every 4 weeks or every other weekend based on unit needs
* May be placed on call as needed
* Self-scheduling
* 48 orientation hours
* 2 years of combined L&D and Postpartum experience with demonstrated competency in both areas required this is a hard requirement
* Travel experience required
* Active California state license required upon submission
* 2 manager references required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced NRP (hard stop), AWHONN Intermediate
* Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, BSN
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Manage high-risk OB patients including multiples, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, high-risk cardiac patients, high-risk postpartum, Bakri Balloon, insulin drip, magnesium sulfate, high-risk newborns, late preterm infants, drug-exposed newborns, and newborn hypoglycemia management
* Circulate and recover C-sections including general anesthesia
* Baby Friendly designated unit
* Key skills include but are not limited to: Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Postpartum, Antepartum, Neonatal Resuscitation, Couplet Care, Fetal Heart Monitoring (internal and external), Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin/oxytocin administration, Postpartum Hemorrhage management, Pre-eclampsia/eclampsia care, Cesarean Section (circulate and scrub), and breastfeeding/lactation support

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive perinatal center offering a full range of maternity and newborn services across multiple campuses. The unit includes private Labor & Delivery rooms, OR suites, recovery rooms, Birth Center rooms supporting natural childbirth with tub access and doula support, antepartum beds, triage rooms, postpartum rooms, and a newborn nursery. The facility also operates a separate LDRP campus with additional triage, OR, and recovery room capacity. Interdisciplinary support services include Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary support.
