Opportunity:

Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* Work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with hours varying as shifts continue until procedures are complete
* Daily caseload includes 4 to 5 labs per day with 2-3 CVT per lab, totaling approximately 20-25 cases per day
* On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per 7 weeks, plus one call shift and one evening shift every week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
* Holiday coverage required as needed
* No floating between service lines or sister facilities required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
* 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
* Must be proficient in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitor
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Hospital-issued scrubs provided
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include diagnostic and interventional coronary cath, diagnostic and interventional vascular, angioplasty, shockwave, temporary pacer, IABP, Impella, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies
* Special equipment includes Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab (documentation), and Vidistar (image storage)
* Required skills include accurate monitoring, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, embolization, IVC filter placement, and PACS

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital with 304 staffed beds, offering a comprehensive and advanced cardiac catheterization lab environment. The facility operates 4 to 5 active labs daily and supports a wide range of complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The organization utilizes Epic for charting and maintains a well-equipped cath lab setting designed to support high-volume, high-acuity patient care.
