Job Details:

* Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
* Contract options available for 13 or 26 weeks
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Float to other units may be required based on census needs and skill set
* Staffing ratio of 1:6 on nights
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Treat patients with diagnoses including Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
* Perform and assist with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
* Work with higher acuity med-surg patients in addition to stroke and TIA patients
* Medication system utilized is Omnicell
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
* Previous charge experience required
* Travel experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Active Tennessee RN license required
* First-time travelers will not be considered
* Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, wound care, PICC line management, and management of cardiac drips

Facility:

This inpatient facility specializes in stroke and TIA care while also managing higher acuity medical-surgical patients. The unit maintains a strong focus on patient experience and is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The 30-bed unit maintains a consistent daily census and is equipped to perform specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.
