Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 5x8 hour shifts, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM with holiday rotation
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including potential float or permanent switch to CSC, ART, or West Campus
* Floating to sister facilities required
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Travel experience required
* Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
* Preferred case experience includes: Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Skills required include: aseptic technique, biological indicators, bronchoscopes, case cart management, chemical indicators, high-level disinfection (HLD), immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), laparoscopic, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/tray assembly, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterilization wrapping procedures, and use of washers/sterilizers
* Experience working with Acute Hospital OR, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Cardiac, Neurology, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Robotics, Transplant, and Urology cases preferred
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks as part of guaranteed hours policy
* No more than 2 callouts permitted without a doctor's note; 3rd callout may result in removal
* No more than 3 tardies permitted
* Travelers will be assigned to an inclement weather team (Team A or B) with expectations provided by management
* Parking available nights and weekends only with a one-time $20 parking pass payment

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The facility supports a wide range of complex surgical cases and serves patients across all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
