Job Details:

* Bone marrow transplant experience required; experience administrating cells is not required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Every other weekend required
* On-call required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC); OCN preferred
* Perform cell and gene therapy administration
* Administer blood products and chemotherapy and conditioning treatments
* Provide supportive care administration and triage
* Manage and access ports, central lines, PICC lines, and implanted lines
* Administer IV push chemotherapy, antibiotics, antiemetics, antifungals, antivirals, and antitumor medications
* Monitor chemotherapy and manage cytotoxic therapy and spills
* Provide care for patients with hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma
* Perform phlebotomy, central line blood draws, and intravenous hydration
* Maintain neutropenic precautions and isolation procedures/PPE
* Educate and support patients and families
* Active Michigan (MI) license required at time of submission; compact licenses are not accepted
* Two manager or supervisor references required; charge nurse references are not accepted

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a specialized oncology and bone marrow transplant unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations. The unit maintains a daily census of approximately 14 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services. The facility is committed to delivering advanced oncology care including stem cell therapies and cutting-edge cancer treatments.
