Job Details:

* Emergency department nursing position with rotating weekend shifts required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Position may float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
* Patient ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of approximately 16 patients with 7 rooms and 11 beds available
* Serve patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
* Scrub color: Any color accepted
* No parking fees
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (NRP preferred)
* Key skills include: blood product administration, IV vasopressors, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, triage, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, emergency medications, and management of pediatric emergencies
* Additional skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, chest tube insertion and management, intubation, management of multisystem organ dysfunction, neuro-trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, STEMI, psychiatric holds, and management of suicidal patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy

This is a Critical Access Hospital with 23 total staffed beds, providing essential healthcare services to its community. The facility operates a combined adult and pediatric emergency department and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and interpretation services. As a STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility, it maintains high standards of emergency and critical care for patients of all ages.
