Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts
* Ability to float to any UCSF campus or facility
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of approximately 60 patients across 15 rooms and 17 beds
* Care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* 2 years of emergency department experience required
* Pediatric ED experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Prior travel experience within 12 months required
* BSN required
* Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: CA RN License, AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP, OCN, SANE, TNCC
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
* Key clinical skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, chest tube management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, ICP monitoring, procedural sedation, triage, intubation, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction

Facility:

This facility operates a combined adult and pediatric emergency department with 17 beds and 15 rooms, maintaining a daily census of approximately 60 patients. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and transportation. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified center, equipped to handle a wide range of high-acuity emergency and trauma cases.
