Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* Med surg, overflow unit, post surgical, and observation unit coverage
* 2 years of recent med surg experience required; 3+ years preferred
* At least 1 prior travel assignment required
* Patient ratio of 1:5/6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Unit is transitioning to team nursing model
* Patients include adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including medical oncology, GYN surgery, and general med surg
* Daily census of 42 patients across 42 beds
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend shifts required as needed
* Block scheduling not available; weekend block may be considered
* Must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment; must work at least 1 of 2 holidays if only 2 fall within the assignment
* RNs may be floated between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
* Telemetry and IV start skills required
* EPIC experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* Must hold an active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
* ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
* Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
* All requested time off must be submitted at the time of submission
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
