Job Details:

* 3x12-hour night shifts per week on various days
* Weekend shifts required per unit needs, with 7 weekend shifts per 13-week contract
* No on-call required
* Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, CPR, Colorado or Compact RN License
* Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights; ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs - candidates must be comfortable working in flexible staffing ratio environments
* Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister facilities
* Scrub color: Navy
* 30-bed unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with stroke, COVID, and med-surge diagnoses
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Required skills include MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Up to 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract; no blocked scheduling requests permitted

Facility:

This facility is a large health system offering comprehensive inpatient services across multiple campuses and affiliated locations. The medical-surgical telemetry stroke unit operates with 30 staffed beds and a daily census of 34, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and maintains high standards for clinical care across a wide range of patient diagnoses.
