Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - OR

Job Details:

* Three 12-hour shifts per week, 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
* Fair share of call and holidays required, with at least 50% of holidays worked during the contract
* Rotating shifts required
* Minimum 1.5 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* No locals within 50 miles; travelers residing 51?74 miles away will be offered a local rate
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA
* Charting system experience required; any system accepted, Cerner preferred
* Patients served include adolescents, adults, and pediatrics
* Floating is mandatory; may float to other units as needed including as a Patient Observer
* Required skills include but are not limited to: Ambulatory OR, General OR, robotic surgery (colorectal, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, orthopedic, urologic), VATS, total knee and hip replacement, arthroscopy, cataract extraction, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and more
* Must follow aseptic technique, fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, sterilization/disinfection, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures
* Position is physically active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
* MO or Compact license required to be in hand prior to start

This health care facility is a comprehensive medical center open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing surgical services across a wide range of specialties including vascular, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, thoracic, ophthalmologic, and robotic surgery. The facility supports patients of all age groups and maintains high standards for clinical excellence and patient safety. Travelers may be required to float across various units to support the organization's patient care needs.
