Open Position: Medical Assistant - Medical Assistant Float Pool

Opportunity:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Float Pool

Job Details:

* 8.5-hour scheduled shifts including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
* Office hours vary between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM with flexible shift times including 7:30 AM?4:00 PM, 8:00 AM?4:30 PM, 8:30 AM?5:00 PM, or 9:00 AM?5:30 PM based on practice needs
* No weekend requirement
* No on-call requirement
* Float Pool position with primary assignments within physician practice locations throughout Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic counties
* Flexibility required to float to various physician practice locations as needed
* Assist with front desk patient calls, pharmacy calls, and patient refill requests
* Schedule patient appointments
* Room patients, obtain vital signs, record patient history, medications, and allergies
* Prepare patients for examination
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers and local candidates accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)
* Bilingual Spanish or Korean preferred
* Experience in adult outpatient clinic, chart preparation, ordering supplies, and telephone triage preferred
* Workers should expect to work some holidays depending on the number of holidays that fall within the assignment
