Job Details:
* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Evening shift option available from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
* Every other weekend required, including both Saturday and Sunday
* No block schedule required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 7
* May float to sister hospital Emergency Department to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Conduct crisis risk assessments for adult and pediatric patients
* Evaluate patients for level of risk for danger to self, danger to others, or grave disability
* Provide level of care recommendations as a consultant directed by an ED attending provider or APP
* Serve patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorder
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and mental health assessments
* Facilitate discharge and contingency planning and coordinate with internal and external team members
* Must hold full independent clinical licensure - associate license will not suffice
* Required licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required; hospital experience preferred
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront during submittal

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation, housing 629 staffed beds. It operates as a teaching hospital and utilizes Epic for charting. The facility features both an adult and pediatric emergency room and provides comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties, including psychiatric and mental health services.
