Job Details:

* Work 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* Full-time position
* Weekend on-call requirement with 2 weekend call shifts per month and 1 call night per week
* Blocked scheduling not accommodated
* Floating to other departments within Surgical Services required
* EMR used: EPIC
* Practice independently in the same or similar clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care situations
* Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
* Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
* 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
* Required certifications: BLS via AHA, ACLS via AHA
* RN license in state of employment or compact required
