Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling
* Every other weekend required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
* Block schedules approved but not required
* No on-call required; however, may be called if needed due to low census
* Expected patient ratio of 1:5 with days, nights, and weekend ratios of 1:6
* Float required to up to 6 other acute care departments within the hospital
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility - refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* At least 1 year of experience required
* At least one prior travel contract required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Charting system experience required - Epic
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: Blood product administration, central line care/management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, PCA, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, telemetry on-unit monitoring, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit contains 30 beds with a daily census of 27
* Dress code for licensed nursing personnel (RN): solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire (scrub tops may have colored piping; print tops are not acceptable)
* Free parking available in any unrestricted surface parking lots designated for Employee/Visitor Parking
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start (charge RNs/leads accepted)
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
