Job Details:
* Variable shift schedule with four 9-hour day shifts scheduled Monday through Friday
* Start times depend on daily assignment and role:
- Pre-op RN: 6:30 AM?4:00 PM or 7:00 AM?4:30 PM (2 RNs in pre-op per day)
- PACU RN: 8:00 AM?5:30 PM or 8:30 AM?6:00 PM (3 RNs in PACU per day)
- Procedure RN: 7:30 AM?5:00 PM (2 to 4 RNs per day depending on the day)
* One overnight call shift per week beginning at the end of your 9-hour shift until 7:00 AM; if not working on a call day, call begins at 5:00 PM
* Two weekend call shifts during a 6-week period from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM; may include two Saturdays, two Sundays, or a Saturday and Sunday
* Call requirements may vary depending on department staffing needs and will not exceed 2 (24-hour) weekend call shifts and 6 weeknight shifts in a 6-week scheduling period
* Unit has 8 pre-op beds, 6 PACU beds, and 4 procedure rooms
* Patient ratios are variable based on case volumes with a staff range of 12 to 16
* Typical procedures include adult and pediatric EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy, ION navigational bronchoscopy, esophageal/duodenal/colonic/Axios stent placements, PEG placement, tracheostomy placement, pulmonary cryo therapy, capsule endoscopy, and foreign body removal
* Pediatric procedures cover age ranges 1 to 18
* Equipment used includes Olympus Scopes, ERBE, Medivator, ION, Boston Scientific, and Cook
* EMR system: Cerner
* Dress code: Green surgical scrubs provided; Navy Blue scrubs are also acceptable
* No block scheduling accommodated
* Floating not required unless traveler volunteers
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and active NC or Compact State Nursing License
* Preferred experience: Pediatric endoscopy, pulmonary endoscopy, and endoscopy tech experience
* Prior endoscopy experience required
