RN - LDRP

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with block scheduling
* Every third weekend requirement
* Holiday requirements depending on availability
* 3 orientation shifts of 12 hours each
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* Care for patients 35+ weeks in labor and Mom/Baby couplets
* Follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios: Labor 1:1-2, Postpartum 1:2-3
* Unit consists of 4 L&D beds and 7 postpartum beds
* Required to titrate drips including Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, and Zofran for antepartum/labor patients
* Postpartum drips include Prenatal vitamins, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, and Toradol
* Work with neonatal RT equipment including CPAP, BiPap, and high flow
* Utilize OB Trace Vue EFM system and MEDITECH charting system
* Circulate for the baby during C-sections, with surgery team leading the procedure
* Float to MSP/ED for helping hands, primarily 1:1 patient sitting
* Scrubs are provided
* Facial hair fit testing required - must pass Primary or Secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 sm or reg/3M 1870+)
* RTO of 7 or fewer days must be provided upfront for 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved

Facility:

This rural acute care facility operates a dedicated LDRP unit providing comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The facility maintains a charge nurse on every shift and emphasizes teamwork, provider consistency, and strong communication among its staff. As a rural hospital located more than one hour from the nearest NICU, nurses are expected to work with a high degree of independence and clinical knowledge to support their patient population.
