Open Position: RN - Med Surg

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2215.08

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg (4 South)

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* Holiday shifts required
* Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 36-bed unit
* Unit secretaries available daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
* Patient care techs available at all times
* Document using Meditech electronic health record system; Meditech experience preferred
* Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills required
* Perform PICC line removal and vas cath/temporary catheter removal
* Conduct hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and maintain My Care Boards using AIDET communication framework
* Float to other units as needed per floating policy
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must have ACLS prior to submission)
* Required dress code: Ceil blue scrubs; hospital hygiene and dress code policy must be followed
* Equipment used includes telemetry monitors, Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, and bladder scanner
* Strong assessment skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and ability to manage stressful situations required

This facility is a Pathways to Excellence Certified hospital and serves as a Certified Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, and Level II Trauma Center. The unit is an HCA Unit of Distinction winner with high employee engagement scores, strong quality and core measures, and a highly experienced staff with many nationally certified nurses, including the unit manager. The facility utilizes advanced technology including iMobile technology, Dynamaps that upload directly to Meditech, and an advanced call light system, with self-scheduling available within guidelines.
