Opportunity:
LPN - Long-Term Care
Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM?6:30 PM or 6:00 PM?6:30 AM with every other weekend
* 48 hours per week guaranteed
* Block scheduling is not available; schedule is posted 4 weeks at a time
* Minimum 2 years of experience working as an LPN in a Long-Term Care setting required
* Must be licensed as an LPN in the State of Nebraska or a Compact State
* Active BLS certification issued through American Heart Association required
* Will not float between hospital and LTC facility
* Work in a 43-bed licensed LTC and Skilled Facility with an average census of 25?27 residents
* Facility has 3 hallways with private and semi-private rooms and a centrally located nurses station
* Day staffing includes 1 RN, 1 Med Aide, 2 CNAs, 1 Bath Aide, and 1 Restorative Care CNA
* Night staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CNA, with occasional additional CNA coverage from 6:00 PM?10:00 PM
* Charting via Point Click Care; communication via pagers
* Lifts available: Sit to Stand and Hoyer
* Medication administered via medication carts with bubble pack distribution
* IV fluids administered at the hospital, not at the LTC facility; rare blood draws may be required
* No designated memory care unit; no Assisted Living facility
* Dress code: Professional scrubs of any color required; no other facility logos or names on scrubs; no crocs permitted; appropriate nail length for resident care; piercings should be professional and not excessive; tattoos and vibrant hair colors are permitted
* Agency-provided badge must be worn at chest level at all times
* Orientation begins with Human Resources including HealthStream modules, followed by floor time; two days of shadowing with another staff member typically provided
