Rehab Therapies, Cardiac Rehab

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts with varied hours, starting as early as 6:30 AM with some shifts extending until 6:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break
* Schedule created by staffing captain
* Every other Saturday or Sunday required, with 2 weekend days in a 4-week schedule; candidates able to work all weekends preferred, with a day off during the week on weeks a weekend shift is worked
* Float between units of the hospital and to acute rehab
* Work with inpatient populations including OT, PT, and Speech therapy
* Common diagnoses include spinal cord injuries, TBI, stroke, cardiac rehab, and orthopedic conditions
* Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required; 3-5 years preferred
* Experience with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac patients required
* ICU experience preferred
* Speech therapists must be able to perform bedside swallow evaluations; experience with modified barium swallow studies preferred and must be able to perform cognition assessments
* Experience in outpatient or home health settings preferred
* Experience with physical disabilities preferred
* Spanish-speaking candidates preferred
* Open to first-time travelers
* Dress code: Black or dark colored pants with burgundy dress shirts or polos
* EMR system: Cerner
* Required certification: BLS
* 1-day hospital orientation followed by 2-3 days of unit orientation
* Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

The organization utilizes Phillips telemetry monitoring and Cerner as its electronic medical records system, providing a modern and well-equipped environment for healthcare professionals.
