Opportunity:
Cath Lab RN
Job Details:
* Work 4 10-hour shifts weekly plus call, scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* No self-scheduling - shifts are leadership assigned and travel RNs must be flexible to work Monday through Friday
* Approximately 1 weeknight on-call shift per week
* Approximately 1-2 weekend on-call shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
* 30-minute call response time required
* Work in a 2-suite Cath Lab managing approximately 8-10 cases per day
* Common diagnoses and patient types include STEMI, Structural Heart cases (MitraClip, TAVR, Watchman), PFO, ASD, PCI, IABP insertion, Impella-assisted PCI or implantation, and ECMO cannulation
* Primary job duties include circulating and monitoring cases and procedural sedation - sedation testing will be completed prior to arrival
* Scrubbing is preferred but not required, as scrub role is primarily performed by Cath Lab Techs
* Must have Cath Lab experience in circulating and monitoring, and experience with Structural Heart cases
* MacLab experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; travel experience highly preferred but not required
* Currently not floating outside of the Cath Lab unless otherwise arranged and stated in contract
* Hospital-provided scrubs supplied daily upon arrival to work
* 1-week orientation including general hospital orientation (3 days on-unit) and weekend buddy call
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* Washington State license or Compact license required
* Epic experience is required
* Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
* Charting system: Epic and MacLab
* BSN not required
* Acute care setting, Trauma Level 3
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a dedicated Cath Lab with 2 fully equipped suites and serves as a STEMI receiving center. The department is supported by experienced Cath Lab Techs who primarily handle scrub roles, allowing RNs to focus on circulating, monitoring, and procedural sedation. The facility provides 24/7 on-call cardiology coverage including overnights, holidays, and weekends, and maintains a structured leadership team consisting of a department manager and daily Cath Lab point RN or Tech.
