Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in an ER setting required
* Travel experience preferred but not required (first-time travelers with Level 1 ER experience will be considered)
* No Trauma Level 1 experience necessary
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 4-5 weekend shifts per 6 weeks required
* For 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM shifts, Friday and Saturday are counted as weekends
* For 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM shifts, Saturday and Sunday are counted as weekends
* Candidates may be required to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
* Requesting time off longer than 1 week is not approved unless under special circumstances
* Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted at this facility
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
* KY state license or compact license required
* Skills required include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, triage, care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation
* Experience working with patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams

Facility:

This large emergency department facility operates with 84 rooms and 100 beds, serving a daily census of approximately 90 patients with up to 250 visits per day. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support. The emergency department is equipped to care for patients across all age groups, from infants to geriatrics.
