Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist (Children's)

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour shifts with rotating days of the week and varied shifts
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
* Call requirements to be discussed during interview
* Perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and physician orders for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric ages
* Work primarily in critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients and families
* Initiate or modify patient plans of care following predetermined and structured protocol orders
* Maintain proper documentation of all patient records and department logs
* May be required to float to the needs of the organization up to competency level
* Must have 2+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
* Must have recent critical care experience
* PICU and NICU experience required
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS
* Required licenses: RRT, Nevada State License, and must apply for State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General Supervisor of Point of Care prior to start
* License must be in hand before submitting

The facility is an 800 inpatient bed hospital with 80 emergency room beds and holds Stroke accreditation, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital and offers a comprehensive range of leading-edge services including a robotic surgery institute, neurosciences, and advanced heart and cancer services, all supported by state-of-the-art technologies.
