Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist (Adults)

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour shifts with rotating days of the week and varied shifts
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
* Call requirements to be discussed during interview
* Perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and physician orders for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric ages
* Work primarily in critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care
* Conduct thorough patient assessments as the foundation for implementing care protocols
* Initiate, refine, transition, discontinue, and restart therapy based on patient medical condition under structured protocols
* Accountable for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients
* Responsible for proper documentation of all patient records and department logs
* May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
* Must have 2+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
* Recent critical care experience required
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Required licenses: RRT, Nevada State License, Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General Supervisor of Point of Care required prior to start
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required prior to start

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced healthcare environment serving a 500-mile radius. Operating as a Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation, the facility houses 800 inpatient beds and 80 emergency room beds, functioning at a volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital, a robotic surgery institute, comprehensive brain and nerve care, and full heart and cancer services, offering state-of-the-art technologies including Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, PET/CT scanner, Biplane Angiography, and 3T MRI technologies.
