Job Details:

* Preferred shift is 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with flexibility for 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
* Schedule options available include 4x10s or 3x12s
* Full-time position
* Work in a Level III Trauma Center
* Care for a wide variety of surgical patients including general OR, neuro, spine, ortho, robotic, and vascular cases
* Practice independently, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
* Provide routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty required
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only)
* RN license in the state of TX or compact license required
