5N Med Surg RN

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 nights, weekdays with every other weekend required
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Blocked schedule available
* Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Unit is a 12-bed inpatient oncology unit with med/surg overflow
* Oncology experience preferred but not required
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Previous charge nurse experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; ONS chemo/bio certification preferred
* Charting system: Cerner (experience preferred)
* IV start skills required; port access and management skills utilized
* Chemotherapy administration performed on unit
* Scrubs not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs required
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract

This facility houses a 12-bed inpatient oncology unit with med/surg overflow capabilities, providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
