Opportunity:
LTAC ICU - NIGHT
Job Details:
* Night shift position within a Long-Term Acute Care (LTACH) unit
* 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; standard schedule is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
* Weekends supported by rotating call shared between 6 to 8 staff members
* On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, supported by Primary and Backup call
* Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
* Block scheduling type
* Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to Med Surg unit at a 1:5 ratio
* Staff work both the 12-bed ICU and 35-bed Med-Surg unit
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
* Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, trach/PEG
* 2 years of ICU experience required
* Neurology experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, mechanical ventilation and weaning, tracheostomy care/management, central line care/management, complex wound care, stroke scale assessment, chest tubes, blood product administration, and neuromuscular disease management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Floating to other units and campuses may be required based on census needs
* Pre-assignment testing and online modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
