Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts with 6:45 AM start times, with occasional floats to 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM starts
* Schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and one variable weekday based on staffing needs each week
* Must work 3 night shifts per assignment
* Weekend coverage required
* No on-call requirements
* 48-hour schedule option available
* 13-week contract length
* 1:1 patient ratio
* Daily census of 90-110 patients
* 38 operating rooms on unit
* Float required to other OR units within the same health system
* Minimum 3 years of OR experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
* Travel experience required
* Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required - hard stop
* Epic charting system experience required - hard stop
* Must be able to circulate emergent craniotomy - hard stop
* Case types required: General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics - hard stops
* Preferred experience in scrubbing spine cases from a Level I Trauma Center
* Helpful but not required: CT, TX, burn, ortho, sports medicine, hand/foot/ankle, and vascular experience
* No guaranteed hours
* Maximum of 10 requested time off days approved per 13-week contract
* No blocked scheduling requests permitted
* Required certifications: AHA BLS
* Required license: Colorado RN license or Compact RN license
* Required skills include but are not limited to: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, craniotomy, laparoscopic assisted cases, lumbar fusion, trauma, Whipple procedure, and a wide range of surgical procedures across specialties
Facility:
This facility is a Level I Trauma Center featuring 41 operating rooms that perform every type of surgical procedure across a broad range of specialties. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization maintains high standards for surgical care and supports a high-volume surgical environment serving adult patients.
