ER RN - Level I Trauma

Job Details:

* 36-hour night shift schedule with 48-hour guarantee
* Weekend coverage required with half of weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
* 36-room emergency department with a daily census of 105 patients
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
* Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, gunshot wounds, head injury, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, neuro-trauma, orthopedic trauma, pediatric emergency department, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs, STEMI certified facility, stroke certified facility, traumatic amputation, traumatic brain injury, and triage
* Patients treated span all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary

This healthcare facility operates a Level I Trauma Center with a fully equipped 36-room emergency department capable of handling a high daily patient volume. The facility is both STEMI and stroke certified, offering comprehensive emergency and trauma care across all patient age groups. Robust interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services ensure a collaborative and well-resourced care environment.
