Job Details:

* 3x12 day shifts scheduled between 9:00 AM?9:00 PM or 11:00 AM?11:00 PM
* Every other weekend call required
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Average daily census of 22 cases
* On-call requirement of 1 day per week; 1-2 weekends per 4-5 week schedule (spread out)
* Call schedule example: Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM?7:00 PM call, Saturday & Sunday 2nd call 7:00 AM?7:00 PM, Saturday 2:1 (2nd call 7:00 AM?7:00 PM & 1st call 7:00 PM?7:00 AM) and Sunday 2nd call (7:00 AM?7:00 PM)
* Sunday through Friday nights 7:00 PM?7:00 AM are covered by staff; additional coverage needed only for call-ins or scheduled time off
* Major holidays covered by call shifts for emergencies only, with a 30-minute response time when on call
* Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
* Must have cardiovascular and general surgery experience CV experience is required
* Must have both scrub and circulate experience
* Proficiency required in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
* Must be proficient in the following surgical specialties:
- Vascular: AV fistulas/grafts, aortic surgeries/bypasses, femoral to popliteal or distal bypasses, carotids, embolectomies
- Orthopedic: arthroscopies and total joints
- General: colorectal/colon resections, laparoscopic assisted surgeries, Whipples, liver resections, thyroids, mastectomies
- ENT: trachs, laryngectomies, radical neck dissections
- Urology: cystectomies, nephrectomies, prostatectomies, various implants, cysto-related procedures
- Robotics: GYN, colorectal, hernias, laparoscopic Nissens
- GYN: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomies, posterior/anterior repairs
* Minimum 2 years RN experience required; minimum 1 year in-specialty experience required
* First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
* WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Required certification: BLS (AHA)
* Charting system: Cerner and Accudose
* Scrub color: Royal Blue, White, or a combination of both
* Parking is free for travelers
* Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
