Opportunity:

RRT - NICU

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required; candidates with additional jobs must work this contract as their primary schedule, including every other weekend
* No on-call requirement
* Minimum 2 years of recent, proficient acute care experience required; Level III NICU experience accepted, Level IV NICU preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* May be required to float within skillset
* Scrub color: Ceil Blue
* Must have experience with Jet/oscillator ventilation and Nitric Oxide (iNO)
* Required skills include: high-risk deliveries, neonatal transport, capillary/umbilical blood gases, Bubble CPAP, CPAP/BiPAP, Bivent, IMV/SIMV, pressure/volume ventilation, intubation assist, and management of BPD, RDS, RSV, TTN, and near drowning
* Aerosol therapy experience required including mask/trach, MDI, and medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, Racemic epinephrine, Pulmicort, and others
* Experience required with bag-mask ventilation, ET tube, HFNC, oxygen tanks, T-piece/trach collar, mechanical ventilation weaning, patient transport, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
* Experience required with chest physiotherapy, ABG collection/interpretation, bronchoscopy, extubation, intubation assist, nasal and oral airway placement/suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, and sputum collection
* Active New Jersey Respiratory Care License required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
* Travel pairs will not be accepted
* Up to 5 days of RTO must be included with submission and approved by the facility

Facility:

This facility is home to a 54-bed Level IV NICU within a state-designated Regional Perinatal Center, providing the highest level of neonatal care for critically ill and medically complex newborns. The NICU is supported by respiratory therapists delivering advanced ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and high-risk neonatal resuscitation. The facility is a large, independent, acute-care teaching hospital offering comprehensive specialty support across a wide range of medical disciplines.
