RN L&D DAYS-MCR

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on various days of the week
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend per unit needs (subject to change)
* On-call required: 1 shift every 6 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
* Patient ratio of 1:4, with 1-2 patients in labor and 3-4 postpartum
* Charting via Epic (preferred experience)
* Scrubs provided by the facility
* Float may be required to sister facilities within the North region per facility request and to like units within Women and Infants service line
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS, STABLE
* 36 orientation hours required
* Key clinical skills required include: Labor & Delivery, Cesarean Section, postpartum hemorrhage management, magnesium sulfate therapy, fetal monitoring (internal and external), neonatal resuscitation, triage of obstetrical patients, and VBAC management
* Additional clinical skills include: antepartum care, couplet care, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, IV management, pitocin administration, and wound assessment and care
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
* Patient age groups served: Neonates and Adults
* Unit contains 22 beds
