Open Position: Dental - Dental Hygienist

Opportunity:

Dental Hygienist

Job Details:

* Monday through Thursday shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday shifts from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM
* No weekend shifts required
* 39 hours per week
* Closed on major holidays
* Perform oral prophylaxis including removal of hard and soft deposits and stains from tooth surfaces and polishing all surfaces of teeth
* Apply topical fluoride treatments to teeth
* Expose and develop dental radiographs
* Provide oral hygiene instruction and counseling to patients
* Provide nutrition and dietary counseling
* Make and confirm patient appointments
* Review medical and dental health history
* Take and record blood pressure
* Chart dental disease
* Utilize Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry
* Train dental hygiene students with minimal supervision
* May require access to storage areas where medications are kept and carry out procedures requiring use of medications
* Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene required
* SC Registered Dental Hygienist license required
* No experience required; 1 year of experience preferred
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
