Job Details:
* Day/Evening rotating shift schedule with a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
* 8-hour shifts run from 6:30 AM?2:30 PM and 2:30 PM?10:30 PM
* 12-hour shifts run from 6:30 AM?6:30 PM and 10:30 AM?10:30 PM
* Option for Day/Evening rotating 5x8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM?2:30 PM and 2:30 PM?10:30 PM
* Shift rotation is required
* Call requirements: 2?4 weeknight call shifts and 1?2 weekend call shifts per 4-week schedule
* No call shift is ever longer than 12 hours
* Weekend call is either Friday and Saturday night only, or Saturday and Sunday during the day only
* At least 2 years of CVOR Tech experience required
* Previous travel experience required
* Must be able to cardiac scrub
* Active Michigan (MI) license required at time of submission; compact licenses not accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* 1:1 patient ratio
* Serves adult and geriatric patient populations
* 10-room operating suite
* Proficiency required in the following cardiac procedures: LVAD/RVAD, Heart Transplant, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, MVR, AVR, CABG, ECMO, MAZE, and Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices
* Proficiency required in the following thoracic procedures: Lung Transplant, VATS Wedge Resection, VATS/Open Lobectomy, Esophagectomy (Minimally Invasive & Transhiatal), Bronchoscopy, EGD, Mediastinal Mass Removal, and Laparoscopic & Open Hiatal Hernia Repair
* Proficiency required in the following vascular procedures: AAA, EVAR, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV Fistulas, Fem-distal bypass, Fem-fem bypass, SMA bypass, and Vein stripping/ablation
* SPD Instrument Tracking system (Censitrac) required
* Two manager or supervisor references required; Charge Nurse references not accepted

This facility operates a 10-room cardiovascular operating suite focused on complex and high-acuity adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases. The unit is known for its flexible scheduling and accommodating management team that goes above and beyond to support staff with time-off requests. The call program is structured to minimize disruption to personal time, with no individual call shift exceeding 12 hours and weekend call limited to a defined two-day window. Previous travelers have praised the positive team dynamic and supportive work environment within the CVOR.
