Opportunity:

Job Details:

* Night shift position; straight days not accepted
* Weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 27 rooms and 34 beds on unit
* 12-hour orientation provided
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* BLS certification required (AHA only)
* Cerner charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
* Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include medical non-monitored conditions
* Special procedures include post-op joint replacement, post-op weight loss management surgery, and post-op general surgery
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, IV management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and additional specialty skills
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Must be available to work every other holiday
* Two supervisor references preferred
