Open Position: RN - PACU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2934.60

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts with variable start times
* Patient ratios: 2:1 days and weekends, 3:1 nights
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
* Travel experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* 5 years of nursing experience required
* 3 years of PACU experience required
* Must have airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management knowledge
* Must be able to work in pre-op and extended care units
* Outpatient surgery center environment handling most same-day procedures with the exception of ortho and cardiac
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 50 patients
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Standard hospital equipment used
* Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services and pharmacy
* Required certifications: CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: CCRN or CPAN
* 2 years of critical care experience preferred
* Key skills include: Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, arterial line management, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, pre/post-op care, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, medication reconciliation, 12-lead EKG/ECG, and urinary catheterization
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
* All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submittal and cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment
