Job Details:
* Work 4x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Patient ratios of 1:6 standard, with potential flex to 1:7 during unplanned absences
* Every other weekend required
* On-call required on a PRN basis for low census
* Floating required between med/surg units as needed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Block schedule requests can be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
* Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certification: BLS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue

* Required skills include: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin, and Rapid Response
* Additional skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Chest tubes, Colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA management, Feeding tube care, Heparin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Management of dysrhythmias, Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, PCA, Peripheral Line Care, PICC line management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Renal failure, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains, Tracheostomy care/management, Total joint replacement, Wound Care/Wound Vac
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including DM, renal disease, HTN, CAD, stroke, chest pain, and AMS
* All patients eligible for telemetry monitoring managed by monitor techs in a central location
* Telemedicine equipment used on unit; training will be provided
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

This facility is a 34-bed community hospital unit offering comprehensive medical-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team and utilizes telemedicine technology to enhance patient care.
