Opportunity:
Urgent Care Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
Job Details:
* Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT credentials are not accepted
* Schedule: 2x12-hour shifts and 2x8-hour shifts per week
* Monday: 7:45 AM 8:15 PM
* Thursday: 7:45 AM 8:15 PM
* Friday: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
* Saturday: 7:45 AM 4:15 PM
* Days off: Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
* Every Saturday is required; Sundays are off
* No on-call required
* Same location every shift; no floating between units
* Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting required
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
* Reliable personal transportation required; public transportation is not accepted
* Travel pairs are required to have their own transportation
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: TBD
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Required skills include:
- Vital signs: height/weight, 12-lead EKG/ECG, pulse oximetry, and vision testing
- Record history, medications, and allergies
- Nebulizer treatments
- Immunizations and intramuscular injections
- Specimen collection: labeling, throat, and urine (UA/clean catch)
- Laboratory tests: blood glucose via glucometer, pregnancy, strep, and urine dipstick/urinalysis
- Stocking supplies
- Administering medication, ear lavage, and rooming patients
* Treats patient age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Facility has 11 rooms/beds
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
