MRI Technologist

Job Details:

* Work 13-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM
* Schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Travel experience required (first-time travelers accepted with 2 years of Level I Trauma experience)
* Adult ICU, Pediatrics, and Adult Acute Care experience required
* Siemens experience preferred; McKesson and Cerner Powerchart experience also preferred
* Radnet and Powershare system experience preferred
* Patient ratios: 4 patients during days and nights, 2 patients on weekends
* Required certifications: ARRT MR, ARRT R, and BLS
* Required skills include a broad range of MRI procedures including abdomen, brain, breast, cervical, chest, cranial nerves, female and male pelvis, various extremities, spinal trauma, and contrast media preparation and administration
* Must be proficient in advanced imaging techniques including gradient echo imaging, multiplanar reconstruction, maximum intensity projection, diffusion imaging, and perfusion imaging
* Must be comfortable working with special equipment including Medtronic Pacemaker Programmer, Medical Implant Programming, and MRI monitoring equipment
* Position serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Physical demands include ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a Level I Trauma Center operating a 24/7 MRI department that averages approximately 1 patient per hour with up to 20 visits per day across 3 imaging rooms. The facility provides comprehensive care across multiple specialties including ICU, Emergency, and outpatient services, and supports a wide range of patient populations from neonates to geriatrics. The organization offers robust interdisciplinary support services to ensure high-quality patient care across all departments.
