Opportunity:

Medical-Surgical ICU

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour day shifts
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period required
* Float required based on schedule
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Treat patients with medical-surgical ICU diagnoses
* Special equipment: CRRT (NXXT Stage)
* Skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), surgical intensive care unit, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a Medical-Surgical ICU with 16 beds across 12 rooms and maintains a daily census of 14 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility provides advanced critical care services and utilizes specialized equipment to support complex patient needs.
