Opportunity:
RN - PACU
Job Details:
* 12-hour day and evening shifts available with the following shift times: Days 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Evenings 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, or 1:00 PM - 1:30 AM
* Patient ratio of 1:2 across days, nights, and weekends
* 27-bed unit with 2 rooms
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius if qualifications are met
* Recover high acuity patients including kidney transplant, craniotomy, transaortic valve replacement, spine surgery, and ICU patients
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include craniotomy/craniectomy for tumor resection, lumbar laminectomy with spine fusion, bronchoscopy with lobectomy, aortic valve replacement, kidney transplant, colectomy, thyroidectomy, nephrectomy, VP shunt, interventional radiology, EP/Cath lab recoveries, and TEE/CV procedures
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
* 2 years of inpatient experience required
* Level I Trauma Center experience required
* Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and Pre-Post experience required
* High acuity PACU experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: CCRN, NIHSS
* ICU experience preferred (SICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU background preferred)
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* 36 orientation hours
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
