Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* 12-hour day and evening shifts available with the following shift times: Days 6:30 AM?7:00 PM; Evenings 9:00 AM?9:00 PM, 10:00 AM?10:00 PM, 11:00 AM?11:30 PM, or 1:00 PM?1:30 AM
* Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius if qualifications are met
* Minimum 2 years of inpatient experience required
* Level I Trauma Center experience required
* Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and Pre-Post experience required
* High acuity PACU experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: CCRN, NIHSS
* ICU experience preferred (SICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU background preferred)
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Recovery of higher acuity patients including kidney transplant, craniotomy, transaortic valve replacement, spine surgery, VATS, and ICU patients
* Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
* Unit contains 27 beds and 2 rooms
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and unit secretary
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
* All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submittal and cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment

Facility:

This is a large academic medical center and teaching hospital offering a high level of specialized care across a wide range of complex surgical and medical cases. The facility operates a high-acuity PACU environment supporting advanced procedures including transplants, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, and spine surgery. Interdisciplinary support teams including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services are available to support patient care throughout the unit.
