Opportunity:
RN - Cath Lab
Job Details:
* Work 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM plus call responsibilities
* Approximately 10-11 call days per month including 1 weekend per month
* Float between two campuses located in Bryan and College Station, TX (home base is Bryan campus)
* Circulate cases and monitor cases in the cath lab environment
* Three people per case during the day: Circulating RN, Scrub Tech, and monitor staff
* Must be comfortable circulating cases independently
* Perform cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patient care
* Facility runs primarily 3 cath lab rooms at one time with 5-7 cases minimum per day
* EP cases include ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations (A-Flutter, SVT, A-Fib)
* Peripheral and neuro cases are also performed
* Utilize GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System - all staff are cross-trained to monitor cases
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* Three days of orientation to the unit with expectation of independently performing cases by Thursday or Friday
* Trauma Level 3 acute care setting
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Hospital cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates multiple campuses and features a dedicated cath lab department with 4 catheterization labs, primarily running 3 rooms simultaneously. The department provides comprehensive cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization services, supported by a skilled team of circulating RNs, scrub technicians, and monitoring staff. The facility maintains a Level 3 trauma designation and utilizes advanced hemodynamic monitoring technology to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care to its patient population.
