Opportunity:

RN - Surgical Services

Job Details:

* Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
* Four 10-hour rotating shifts per week
* Full-time position
* 2 weekend shifts required per month (Saturday/Sunday counts as 1 weekend), consisting of 12-hour on-call shifts
* One night on-call shift required per week
* May float to other units within surgical services
* Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
* Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
* Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention
* Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care within established nursing standards
* Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and evaluation of patient outcomes
* Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
* Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
* Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
* EMR system used: EPIC
* Required dress code: Graphite Gray Scrubs
* Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
* Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
