Job Details:

* Variable start times of 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM
* May need to cover one night shift within the contract as needed
* On-call is required and will be distributed equally amongst all nursing staff every 6 weeks, which could be up to 6-8 shifts in a 6-week period including nights, evenings, and weekends (8-hour shifts)
* Float between sister facilities may be required; refusal to float may result in termination and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Block scheduling available per manager discretion
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience required
* Experience with OR specialties including trauma, ortho, general, vascular, neurosurgery, plastics, and ENT required
* Trauma Level I experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certification: BLS
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 25 cases
* Patient diagnoses include orthopedics (total joints and ortho trauma), neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU, and GYN
* Night shifts are typically staffed with 2 people (1 RN/1 ST or 2 RNs, with one acting as the scrub)
* No unit secretary on night shift
* 40 orientation hours required
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 277 total staffed beds and provides a comprehensive range of surgical services. The facility supports a wide variety of procedures including orthopedic, neurosurgical, vascular, robotic, general, urologic, and gynecological surgeries. Interdisciplinary support services include respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides scrubs for OR, Endo, L&D, and PACU staff.
