Travel RN - NICU 675

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 13-week assignment
* Rotating weekends required with 4 weekend shifts per month
* Patient ratios of 1:1 for active labor patients and 1:2 or 1:3 for early labor, antepartum, and triage patients
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1 PCT/Scrub Tech, and 1 PCT/Clerk on some shifts
* Independently manage laboring patients, high-risk pregnancies, induction and augmentation of labor, fetal monitoring, vaginal deliveries, and immediate postpartum care
* Circulate cesarean sections and assist with obstetric emergencies
* Manage high-risk OB patients including preeclampsia, magnesium sulfate administration, insulin drips, multiple gestation pregnancies, shoulder dystocia, and postpartum hemorrhage
* Perform and assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, operative vaginal deliveries, external cephalic versions, cerclage placement/removal, iron infusions, labor inductions, augmentations, postpartum recovery, and newborn stabilization
* Float to postpartum unit as needed
* Utilize equipment including electronic fetal monitors, telemetry fetal monitoring, Monica Novii wireless fetal monitoring, Alaris IV pumps, Belmont rapid infusers, Ranger blood and fluid warming systems, vein finder device, Hugs infant security system, and maternal telemetry monitoring
* Document using Epic EMR system
* Hospital laundered scrubs provided each shift
* Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in an acute care hospital setting required
* Epic EMR experience required
* Experience with fetal monitoring interpretation required
* Experience circulating cesarean sections required
* Required certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
* Preferred experience includes operative vaginal deliveries, antepartum patient care, external cephalic versions, cerclages, and NICU or newborn stabilization

Facility:

This facility features a dedicated Women's Pavilion housing a Labor and Delivery unit with 15 labor rooms, a 3-bed triage bay, and 2 operating rooms. The unit supports a multidisciplinary team environment with collaboration between physicians, midwives, anesthesia, NICU, and postpartum teams. The facility is equipped with advanced monitoring and medical technology to support high-risk obstetric care and a wide range of labor and delivery procedures.
