Open Position: RN - OR Outpatient

Opportunity:

RN - Same Day Surgery

Job Details:

* Work 8-hour shifts from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, 5 days a week
* Day shift with variable start times; no night shift
* Patient ratio of up to 4 to 1
* No on-call requirements
* No weekend requirements
* No floating required
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Work in a Same Day Surgery (SDS) department on the 2nd floor of the Main Tower
* Perform pre-operative preparation including starting IVs, obtaining vitals, shaving, obtaining consent, conducting brief health history, and administering medications
* Provide post-operative care and discharge instructions related to the surgical process
* Assist with all surgical types performed within the department
* Utilize EPIC EMR system
* Operate standard hospital equipment
* Minimum 1 year of SDS or surgery department experience required
* Pre-operative and post-operative experience strongly preferred
* IV start skills preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RN license

Facility:

This facility is a full-service hospital offering comprehensive surgical services through its Same Day Surgery department. The unit consists of 18 beds and a team of 30 staff members dedicated to providing high-quality outpatient surgical care. The department handles all surgical types and is equipped with standard hospital equipment and an EPIC EMR system to support efficient and effective patient care.
